Sports Exercise Science: Human Performance B.S.
The Human Performance program at UNC is a four-year degree program centered around studying human movement and motion. Students receive practical and real-world experience built on a strong theoretical and scientific foundation. With a broad set of courses across multiple disciplines, students enrolled in this 120-credit-hour major study the fundamentals of chemistry, kinesiology, and biomechanics, as well as the psychology of exercise, and prevention and care of sports injuries. Graduates will be well-equipped to work in cardiac rehabilitation, gerontological fitness, fitness management, conditioning, ergonomics and more.

The Human Performance program at UNC is centered around practical, hands-on experience, and is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association education recognition program. Our students have participated in internships at numerous local and regional facilities, including UNC’s Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, North Colorado Medical Center’s CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado, Denver Athletic Club and VASA Fitness in Greeley.
